God Is Faithful, Laura Yu |
|
I was saved fourteen years ago in my freshman year in college. As the youngest in my family and being the first time I left home and stayed in the dorm, I often felt very lonely. I was saved in a gospel meeting in the third month of the first semester, and started to read the Bible in the morning with some sisters. Although I was not very clear about the truth, I experienced the love from the sisters. That love was not because I did good things to them, but they loved me without cause. I moved to a house with Christian students and lived there for three and a half years. At that time we pursued the Lord together and often the graduating ones would choose to go to the Full-Time Training in Anaheim (FTTA) to receive two years of Bible, truth and service training. I also set my mind to go. But because my parents opposed, after I graduated from school I started working. Since then, ten years have passed. During these ten years, I realized God doesn't use our ways or our thoughts for His purpose. He often just puts our way aside, and in His mercy shows us His way. My old concept was that to serve the Lord full-time meant to go to the Training and then serve Him in the local church. God showed me that He wants me to love Him first and enjoy Him in all environments, such as at work, at home or with all kinds of people. But going to the Training was like a vow to Him and He never forgot it. After ten years He arranged all things to prepare me, and called me to the Training again. I am in the Training now. Isn't He faithful to fulfill His own will? He wants to gain me. That is why after ten years and many situations I still came to the Training. Not to say that I did not change, but He does not change His will. Praise the Lord for His faithfulness. |
